عورت تاریخ کی تلخی سے کرمِ اسلام تک
تاریخ کے آئینے میں عورت کی تصویر اکثر دھندلی اور غیر منصفانہ نظر آئی ہے۔ قدیم وقتوں میں کہا گیا
عورت سے زیادہ دنیا میں فتنہ اور فساد کی کوئی چیز نہیں۔
کچھ نے اسے بچے کی مانند سمجھا، اور کچھ نے جنگ اور معاشرتی خلفشار میں اس کے ساتھ بدترین سلوک کیا قیدی بنانا، بدنام کرنا، حتیٰ کہ زندہ دفن کرنے جیسے مظالم بھی تاریخ میں درج ہیں۔
یہ داستانیں سن کر انسان کا دل کانپتا ہے، مگر پھر بھی ایک عظیم روشنی نے دنیا کو روشن کیا وہ روشنی جو رحمت، عدل اور انسانیت کی علامت بنی۔
پیغمبر ﷺ اور عورت کی عظمت
محسنِ انسانیت حضرت محمد ﷺ نے عورت کو وہ مقام دیا جو تاریخ میں کہیں نہیں ملا۔ اسلام نے عورت کو صرف خاندان کا حصہ نہیں بلکہ ایک مکمل اور معزز فرد قرار دیا — اس کے حقوق، عزت اور روحانی مقام برابر تسلیم کیے گئے۔
حضرت علیؓ فرماتے ہیں
عورت کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک کرو، اس میں تمہارے اعمال کا بھلاپن ہے۔
اور پیغمبر ﷺ نے فرمایا
"جنت ماں کے قدموں تلے ہے۔"
یہ حدیثیں صرف کلمات نہیں؛ یہ عورت کی حقیقی قدر و منزلت کی روشنی ہیں۔
عورت کے مختلف کردار اور اس کی عظمت
ماں
ماں کی محبت بےمثال ہے۔ ایک بچہ جب بیمار ہوتا ہے تو ماں کی دعاؤں میں شفقت اور تحفظ کی طاقت چھپی ہوتی ہے۔ حضرت محمد ﷺ نے ماں کی شان کو اتنا بلند فرمایا کہ فرمایا: "جنت ماں کے قدموں تلے ہے۔"
بیٹی
بیٹی ایک خاندان میں روشنی کی مانند ہے۔ وہ محبت، رحمت اور نرمی کا سبب بنتی ہے۔ ایک بزرگ نے کہا:
"بیٹی دل کا سکون ہے اور گھر کی روشنی۔"
بیوی
بیوی صرف ساتھ دینے والا نہیں، بلکہ ایمان کی تکمیل کا سبب ہے۔ اس کی محبت، صبر اور سمجھداری خاندان کو مضبوط بناتی ہے۔ حضرت علیؓ نے فرمایا:
"بیوی کے ساتھ حسن سلوک ایمان کی تکمیل ہے۔"
بہن
بہن عزت اور غیرت کی محافظ ہے۔ ایک بہن کے احترام میں جو نرمی اور محبت رکھی جائے، وہ معاشرتی بنیادوں کو مضبوط کرتی ہے۔
تاریخ کی تلخی اور اس کا سبق
جہاں انسان نے ظلم کیے، وہاں انسان نے سدھار بھی دکھایا۔ جاہلیت یا تاریک ادوار میں عورت کے ساتھ زیادتیاں ہوئیں، مگر اسلام نے ان زخموں پر مرہم رکھا۔ عورت کو حقوق دینا، عزت بحال کرنا اور وقار قائم رکھنا ایک سماجی انقلاب تھا، جو آج تک ہمارے معاشرے کی بنیاد ہے۔
آخر میں : انسانی اپیل
عورت صرف لفظ یا معاشرتی کردار نہیں؛ وہ محبت، ہمدردی، تحفظ اور ایمان کی علامت ہے۔ ماں، بیٹی، بیوی یا بہن کے سامنے نرمی، ادب اور احترام ہمارا فرض ہے۔
یاد رکھیں: عورت کی عزت، آپ کی انسانیت کا آئینہ ہے۔ اسے صاف رکھیں محبت، رحم اور ایمان کے ساتھ۔

Women From Historical Misunderstanding to the Grace of Islam
Throughout history, women have often been misunderstood and undervalued. Ancient voices claimed:
"There is nothing in the world more corrupting and troublesome than a woman."
Others treated women as mere children or possessions. In times of war and social unrest, women suffered unimaginable hardships — captured, defamed, and sometimes even buried alive.

The Prophet ﷺ and the Honor of Women
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave women a status unprecedented in history. Islam recognized women not merely as members of a household, but as complete, dignified individuals with rights, honor, and spiritual significance.
Imam Ali ﷺ said:
"Treat women with kindness; in that lies the goodness of your deeds."
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also said:
"Paradise lies under the feet of mothers."
These are not just words they are a testament to the immense value of women, spiritually, morally, and socially.
The Roles of Women and Their Sacred Value
Mother — The Source of Life and Mercy
A mother’s love is unmatched. Imagine a child crying in the night — the mother’s gentle touch, soothing words, and prayers carry the power of protection and healing. As Prophet ﷺ said, "Paradise lies under the feet of mothers."
Daughter — A Light in the Family
A daughter is a source of mercy and joy. Her laughter brings warmth; her presence is a reminder of love and hope. A wise elder once said:
"A daughter is the heart’s peace and the light of the home."
Wife — The Companion of Faith
A wife is not just a companion; she completes the spiritual and moral journey of her husband. Her patience, understanding, and love nurture the home and strengthen faith.
Imam Ali ﷺ said:
"Good treatment of your wife is part of completing your faith."
Sister — Guardian of Honor and Dignity
A sister’s respect protects family honor and reinforces the foundation of society. Honoring her is a reflection of personal character and social responsibility.
Learning from History
History shows us how women were once oppressed, undervalued, or treated as mere possessions. Islam brought a social revolution restoring women’s rights, honor, and dignity. It reminds us that respecting women is a moral and spiritual duty.
A Human Appeal
Women are not just roles or titles they are love, compassion, faith, and strength embodied. Treat mothers, daughters, wives, and sisters with kindness and respect. Every act of care is a reflection of your own humanity.
Remember: Respect for women is the mirror of our character. Keep it clear with love, mercy, and faith.
