کچھ کہانیاں وقت کے ساتھ بھی دل کو ہلا دیتی ہیں۔ امام ابن قتیبہ نے اپنی کتاب "عیون الاخبار" میں ایک ایسا واقعہ بیان کیا جو ہمیں قربانی، حوصلے، اور گمنامی کی طاقت سکھاتا ہے۔
قلعے کا محاصرہ
مسلم افواج کے سپہ سالار حضرت مسلمہؒ ایک مضبوط قلعے کے محاصرے میں تھے۔ چالیس دن گزر گئے، مگر قلعہ آج بھی ناقابلِ تسخیر رہا۔
طویل غور و خوض کے بعد ایک خطرناک منصوبہ بنایا گیا: ایک سرنگ کے ذریعے قلعے میں داخل ہونا اور صدر دروازہ کھولنا۔
یہ کام جان کی بازی لگانے کے مترادف تھا۔ حضرت مسلمہؒ نے فوج سے کہا: "جو بھی دلیر ہے، رضاکار ہو کر آگے آئے۔"مگر سب خاموش رہے.
وہ سپاہی جو گمنام رہا
شام کے وقت، ایک سپاہی آگے بڑھا۔ اس نے اپنا چہرہ چھپا رکھا اور جان کی پروا کیے بغیر سرنگ میں داخل ہو کر قلعے کے دروازے کھول دیے۔ یوں فتح مسلمانوں کے قدم چوم گئی۔
فتح کے بعد حضرت مسلمہؒ نے اعلان کیا کہ سرنگ والا سپاہی سامنے آئے تاکہ اس کی بہادری کا اعتراف کیا جا سکے۔ تین دن تک کوئی سامنے نہ آیا۔ آخرکار حضرت مسلمہؒ نے کہا
"میں نے اپنے خادم کو اجازت دی ہے کہ وہ جب چاہے مجھ سے ملے۔ اسے روکا نہ جائے۔"
تین شرطیں
رات کے آخری پہر ایک شخص آیا اور کہا کہ وہ سرنگ والے سپاہی کے بارے میں جانتا ہے، مگر خود وہ نہیں ہے۔ حضرت مسلمہؒ سے ملاقات کے دوران بتایا گیا کہ سرنگ والے سپاہی کی تین شرطیں ہیں:
اس کا نام کسی کے سامنے نہ آئے۔
اسے کوئی انعام نہ دیا جائے۔
اس سے نہ پوچھا جائے کہ وہ کون ہے، کہاں سے آیا ہے، اور کہاں رہتا ہے۔
حضرت مسلمہؒ نے تینوں شرطیں قبول کر لیں۔ پھر وہ شخص خاموشی سے بولا
"سرنگ والا سپاہی میں ہوں۔"اور چپ چاپ غائب ہو گیا
دعا اور سبق
اس کے بعد حضرت مسلمہؒ نماز کے بعد دعا کرتے
"اے اللہ! میرا حشر اس سرنگ والے سپاہی کے ساتھ فرما۔ اپنے گمنام بندے کو جنت میں جگہ دے اور اس کا شایانِ شان اکرام فرما۔"
یہ قصہ ہمیں یاد دلاتا ہے کہ اصل قربانی اکثر گمنامی میں ہوتی ہے۔
اصل عظمت وہ ہے جو دکھاوے کے بغیر، صرف مقصد کے لیے دی جاتی ہے۔
آج کا چیلنج
آج ہماری زندگیوں میں، ہماری جماعتوں اور اداروں میں، کیا ہم دیکھ پاتے ہیں ایسے گمنام سرنگ والے؟
کیا ہم اپنی محنت، وقت اور جان صرف مقصد کے لیے دے سکتے ہیں، بغیر کسی پہچان یا انعام کی توقع کے؟
کیا ہم خود وہ گمنام سپاہی بن سکتے ہیں جو خاموشی سے تبدیلی لاتا ہے؟
یاد رکھیں: بڑی فتحیں اکثر چھوٹے، گمنام قدموں سے حاصل ہوتی ہیں۔
The Tunnel Soldier: The Greatness of Anonymous Sacrifice
Some stories shake the heart even after centuries. Imam Ibn Qutaybah, in his book “Uyoon al-Akhbar”, narrated an event that teaches us courage, sacrifice, and the power of anonymity.
The Siege of the Fortress
Muslim forces, led by Commander Muslihah (RA), were laying siege to a strong fortress. Forty days passed, yet the fortress remained unconquerable.
After long deliberation, a dangerous plan was made: enter the fortress through a tunnel and open the main gate.
This task was a life-risking mission. Muslihah (RA) told his soldiers:
"Whoever is brave, step forward as a volunteer."
But all remained silent.
The Soldier Who Stayed Anonymous
At dusk, a soldier stepped forward. With his face hidden and without fear for his life, he entered the tunnel and opened the fortress gates, securing victory for the Muslims.
After the victory, Muslihah (RA) announced that the tunnel soldier should come forward to be honored. Three days passed, and no one came. Finally, Muslihah (RA) said:
"I have permitted my servant to meet the soldier whenever he wishes. He should not be stopped."
Three Conditions
At the last hour of the night, a person arrived saying he knew about the tunnel soldier, but he himself was not the soldier.
It was revealed that the tunnel soldier had three conditions:
His name should not be revealed.
He should not be given any reward.
No one should ask about his identity or origin.
Muslihah (RA) accepted all conditions. Then the person quietly said:
"I am the tunnel soldier."
And silently, he disappeared.
Prayer and Lesson
After that, Muslihah (RA) prayed after Salah:
"O Allah! Gather me with the tunnel soldier on the Day of Judgment. Grant Your hidden servant a place in Jannah and honor him as he deserves."
This story reminds us that true sacrifice often happens in anonymity.
True greatness is given silently, solely for the purpose of service.
Today’s Challenge
Do we see such hidden heroes in our organizations and communities today?
Can we dedicate our time, effort, and life solely for a cause, without expecting recognition or reward?
Can we become the silent heroes who bring change quietly?
Remember:Big victories are often achieved through small, anonymous steps.
