ریاض (بطحا) سے مکہ مکرمہ: ایک نیا تجربہ اور اہم مشاہدات
2 اپریل 2026 کا دن میری زندگی کے یادگار ترین دنوں میں سے ایک تھا۔ اگرچہ میں اس سے پہلے بھی عمرہ کی سعادت حاصل کر چکا ہوں، لیکن اس بار ایک نیا تجربہ میرا منتظر تھا ریاض کے علاقے بطحا سے سفر کرنے کا پہلا موقع۔
میں اپنی رہائش گاہ سے نکلا اور ریاض میٹرو کے ذریعے بطحا کی طرف روانہ ہوا۔ عام طور پر میں ’حارہ‘ سے سفر کیا کرتا تھا، مگر اس بار وہاں سہولت چند دنوں کے لیے دستیاب نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے مجھے بطحا کا رخ کرنا پڑا۔
بطحا کی گہما گہمی اور احتیاط کے پہلو
بطحا کا ماحول کسی حد تک ہمارے برصغیر کے مصروف بازاروں جیسا محسوس ہوتا ہے ہر طرف رش، شور اور گہما گہمی۔ یہاں سے مکہ مکرمہ اور مدینہ منورہ کے لیے صبح 9 بجے سے رات 9 بجے تک تقریباً ہر آدھے گھنٹے بعد بسیں روانہ ہوتی ہیں۔
میں نے ایک ٹریول آفس سے مکہ اور مدینہ کا مشترکہ پیکج لیا، جس میں ہوٹل کی سہولت بھی شامل تھی۔
اہم انتباہ:
بطحا میں دھوکہ دہی کے واقعات بھی دیکھنے میں آتے ہیں۔ میں نے خود دیکھا کہ چند پاکستانی نوجوانوں سے مکمل پیکج کی رقم وصول کی گئی، مگر مکہ پہنچنے پر نہ انہیں ہوٹل ملا اور نہ ہی ٹریول ایجنٹ کا نمبر دستیاب رہا۔
لہٰذا میری گزارش ہے کہ ٹکٹ خریدتے وقت تمام تفصیلات کی اچھی طرح تصدیق کریں، اور اگر خود پڑھنے میں مشکل ہو تو کسی قابلِ اعتماد شخص سے ضرور مدد لیں۔
روحانی سفر: میقات سے مکہ مکرمہ تک
تقریباً سہ پہر 3 بجے ہم ریاض سے روانہ ہوئے۔ سفر کے دوران کھانے اور نماز کے لیے مناسب وقفے دیے جاتے رہے، جبکہ بس کا معیار اور ڈرائیور کا رویہ بھی تسلی بخش تھا۔
رات تقریباً 3 بجے ہم میقات قرن المنازل (السيل الكبير) پہنچے۔ یہاں ہم نے احرام باندھا، دو رکعت نفل ادا کیے اور عمرہ کی نیت کے ساتھ توبہ و استغفار میں مشغول ہو گئے۔ وہ لمحے انتہائی روح پرور تھے ایسا محسوس ہو رہا تھا جیسے دنیا کی تمام فکریں ختم ہو گئی ہوں۔
فجر کی اذان سے قبل ہم مکہ مکرمہ پہنچ گئے۔
ہوٹل کا تلخ تجربہ
مکہ پہنچ کر ہوٹل کی حالت دیکھ کر خاصی مایوسی ہوئی۔ استقبالیہ پر صفائی کا فقدان تھا اور کمروں کی حالت بھی غیر تسلی بخش تھی۔ بدبو اور گندگی نے مزید پریشان کیا۔
بالآخر جب میں نے بلدیہ (میونسپلٹی) میں شکایت کرنے کا ارادہ ظاہر کیا، تب جا کر کچھ بہتری آئی اور کم از کم بستر اور کمرے کی صفائی کی گئی۔
یہ تجربہ اس بات کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے کہ بطحا کے کئی ٹریول ایجنٹس خود ہوٹل کے معیار سے واقف نہیں ہوتے، کیونکہ وہ یہ سہولت کسی تیسری ایجنسی کے ذریعے فراہم کرتے ہیں۔
مسجد الحرام: پہلی جھلک اور چند گزارشات
مسجد الحرام میں داخل ہوتے ہی جو کیفیت طاری ہوتی ہے، اسے الفاظ میں بیان کرنا واقعی مشکل ہے۔ آنکھیں نم ہو جاتی ہیں اور دل میں اللہ کی محبت ایک نئی شدت کے ساتھ جاگ اٹھتی ہے۔
چونکہ جمعہ کا دن تھا، اس لیے طواف کے دوران غیر معمولی رش تھا۔
یہاں ایک اہم بات قابلِ ذکر ہے:
حجرِ اسود کو بوسہ دینے کے لیے دھکم پیل کرنا نہ صرف دوسروں کے لیے تکلیف دہ ہے بلکہ عبادت کے اصل مقصد کے بھی خلاف ہے۔ اسی طرح افسوس کے ساتھ یہ بھی دیکھنے میں آیا کہ کچھ لوگ عبادت کے بجائے سیلفی اور ویڈیوز بنانے میں مصروف تھے۔
میری نظر میں اللہ کے گھر کی حاضری کا اصل مقصد عبادت، دعا اور اللہ سے تعلق مضبوط کرنا ہے نہ کہ دنیاوی دکھاوے میں وقت ضائع کرنا۔
واپسی کا مشکل راستہ
عمرہ ادا کرنے کے بعد جب میں ہوٹل واپس جا رہا تھا تو راستہ بھول گیا۔ تقریباً 3 کلومیٹر کا فاصلہ طے کرنا مزید مشکل ہو گیا کیونکہ مجھے سرنگوں (tunnels) کے راستے سے گزرنا پڑا اور اس دوران کوئی ٹیکسی بھی دستیاب نہ تھی۔
کافی مشقت اور تھکن کے بعد بالآخر ہوٹل پہنچا، جہاں پہنچتے پہنچتے جسم مکمل طور پر تھک چکا تھا۔
حرم کی خوبصورتی اور توسیع
جمعہ کی نماز کے لیے میں دوبارہ حرم گیا اور کنگ عبداللہ گیٹ سے داخل ہوا۔ مسجد الحرام کی نئی توسیع نہایت شاندار اور دیدہ زیب ہے، اور جاری کام اس کی عظمت میں مزید اضافہ کر رہا ہے۔
ہم ہفتے کی شام تک مکہ مکرمہ میں مقیم رہے، اور پھر شام 4 بجے مدینہ منورہ کے لیے روانہ ہو گئے۔
میرا مشورہ
اگر آپ عمرہ کے لیے جا رہے ہیں، خصوصاً پہلی بار، تو مکمل تیاری اور تحقیق کے ساتھ سفر کریں۔
ایسے بابرکت مقامات پر وقت کی قدر کریں، دنیاوی مصروفیات کو ایک طرف رکھیں اور اپنی توجہ عبادت، دعا اور اللہ کی یاد میں مرکوز رکھیں۔

From Riyadh (Batha) to Makkah: A New Experience and Key Observations
April 2, 2026 was one of the most memorable days of my life. Although I have been blessed to perform Umrah before, this journey was different it was my first time traveling from the Batha area in Riyadh.
I left my residence early in the morning and headed towards Batha via the Riyadh Metro. Usually, I travel from “Harah,” but due to unavailability for a few days, I had to choose Batha this time.
The Rush of Batha and Important Precautions
Batha gives a feeling similar to the busy traditional markets of the subcontinent crowded, noisy, and full of activity. From here, buses to Makkah and Madinah depart every 30 minutes, from 9 AM to 9 PM.
I purchased a combined travel package for Makkah and Madinah from a local travel office, which also included hotel accommodation.
Important Warning:
Fraud cases are not uncommon in Batha. I personally witnessed a group of Pakistani boys who paid for a full package including hotel stays, but upon reaching Makkah, they found no booking, and the agent’s phone number was unreachable.
I strongly advise everyone to verify all details before making any payment. If you cannot read or understand the documents, seek help from someone trustworthy.
A Spiritual Journey: From Miqat to Makkah
We departed from Riyadh around 3 PM. During the journey, the bus stopped at intervals for meals and prayers. The overall service and the driver’s behavior were satisfactory.
Around 3 AM, we reached the Miqat, Qarn al-Manazil (As-Sail Al-Kabir). There, we entered into the state of Ihram, offered two units of voluntary prayer, and made the intention for Umrah along with sincere repentance.
Those moments were deeply peaceful it felt as if all worldly worries had faded away.
Before the Fajr prayer, we arrived in Makkah.
A Disappointing Hotel Experience
Upon arrival, the condition of the hotel was quite disappointing. The reception area lacked cleanliness, and there was an unpleasant odor. The rooms and beds were also not properly maintained.
Eventually, when I mentioned filing a complaint with the municipality, some improvement was made, and basic cleaning was carried out.
This experience highlights an important issue: many travel agents in Batha are not fully aware of the actual condition of the hotels, as they often rely on third-party arrangements.
Masjid al-Haram: First Glimpse and Reflections
The feeling of entering Masjid al-Haram is beyond words. Tears filled my eyes, and my heart was overwhelmed with a deep sense of connection with Allah.
Since it was Friday, the crowd during Tawaf was intense.
One important point I would like to highlight:
Pushing and struggling to kiss the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) causes inconvenience to others and goes against the spirit of worship. It was also disappointing to see some people more engaged in taking selfies and videos rather than focusing on عبادت.
In my opinion, visiting the House of Allah is meant for prayer, reflection, and remembrance not for social media display.
A Difficult Return to the Hotel
After completing Umrah, I headed back to the hotel but unfortunately lost my way. What should have been a 3 km journey became longer and more exhausting.
I had to pass through tunnels, and there were no taxis available on that route. After a tiring walk, I finally reached the hotel, completely exhausted.
The Beauty and Expansion of the Haram
Later, I returned for Jumu’ah prayer and entered through King Abdullah Gate. The new expansion of Masjid al-Haram is truly magnificent, and the ongoing development reflects remarkable planning and beauty.
We stayed in Makkah until Saturday evening and then departed for Madinah at 4 PM.
My Advice
If you are planning to perform Umrah especially for the first time make sure you are fully prepared and well-informed.
Value your time in such sacred places. Leave worldly distractions behind and focus entirely on worship, دعا, and strengthening your connection with Allah.
