تعارف
اسلام میں قرآنِ کریم کے بعد سنتِ رسول ﷺ ہدایت کا سب سے اہم ذریعہ ہے۔ نبی کریم ﷺ کی احادیث انسان کی عقیدہ، عبادات، اخلاق، معاملات اور معاشرت کے ہر پہلو میں رہنمائی کرتی ہیں۔ صدیوں سے علماء نے مسلمانوں کی آسانی کے لیے مختلف موضوعات پر چالیس احادیث (چہل حدیث) جمع کی ہیں تاکہ ہر مسلمان انہیں یاد کرے، سمجھے اور اپنی زندگی میں نافذ کرے۔
حضرت ابو درداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا:
"جس نے میری امت کو (دین کے متعلق) چالیس احادیث پہنچا دیں (یا سکھا دیں)، اللہ تعالیٰ اسے قیامت کے دن علماء اور فقہاء کے زمرے میں اٹھائے گا۔"
تاہم محدثین کے نزدیک یہ روایت سند کے اعتبار سے ضعیف ہے۔ اس کے باوجود صحیح احادیث کی تعلیم، یاد کرنا اور دوسروں تک پہنچانا یقیناً بہت بڑی نیکی ہے۔

(1) حدیث:
اعمال کا دارو مدار نیتوں پر ہے۔

قبر کا عذاب حق ہے۔

غیبت زنا سے زیادہ بدتر ہے۔

چغل خور جنت میں داخل نہیں ہوگا۔

(25) حدیث:
وہ جسم جنت میں نہیں جائے گا جو حرام مال سے پرورش کیا گیا ہو۔

الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ۔

بات کرنے سے پہلے سلام کرنا چاہیے۔

شراب مت پیو کیونکہ وہ ہر برائی کی کنجی ہے۔

بسَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ۔
اللہ کا نام لو (بسم اللہ پڑھو)، دائیں ہاتھ سے کھاؤ اور اپنے سامنے (قریب) سے کھاؤ۔

یہ چالیس مختصر احادیث ایک مسلمان کی زندگی کے بنیادی اصول بیان کرتی ہیں۔ اگر ہم ان احادیث کو صرف یاد کرنے کے بجائے اپنی عملی زندگی میں نافذ کریں تو ہمارے ایمان، عبادات، اخلاق اور معاشرت میں نمایاں بہتری آ سکتی ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں قرآن و سنت کو سمجھنے، ان پر عمل کرنے اور دوسروں تک پہنچانے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔ آمین۔
Introduction
In Islam, the Sunnah (traditions) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stands as the second most vital source of guidance after the Holy Quran. The Ahadith (sayings) of the Prophet ﷺ encompass every sphere of human existence, offering profound direction on belief, worship, morality, daily dealings, and social conduct. For centuries, Islamic scholars have compiled collections of forty Ahadith (known as Arbain or Chehl Hadith) to make it easier for Muslims to memorize, comprehend, and implement these foundational teachings into their daily lives.
It is narrated by Hazrat Abu Darda (R.A) that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever preserves or teaches forty Ahadith regarding matters of religion for my Ummah, Allah Almighty will raise them on the Day of Resurrection among the scholars and jurists."
However, according to Hadith scholars (Muhaddithin), this specific narration is classified as weak (Da'if) in terms of its chain of transmission. Nevertheless, learning authentic Ahadith, memorizing them, and conveying them to others remains an immensely virtuous deed with great rewards.
