Introduction
Every Muslim parent hopes to raise children who know Allah, love His Messenger ﷺ, and live according to Islamic teachings. Such character is not developed overnight; it begins with a strong foundation during childhood.
In Bache aur Bachion Ka Taleemi o Tarbiyati Nisab, the author begins the curriculum with Six Foundational Lessons (Chhe Mashqain). These lessons introduce children to the essential declarations of faith and basic Islamic beliefs, making them the first step in
their religious education. Why Do Islamic Lessons Begin with These Six Exercises?
Early childhood is the best time to shape a child's faith and character. The six lessons help children:
Recognise the Oneness of Allah.
Believe in the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ.
Learn the basic declarations of faith.
Develop the habit of remembering Allah.
Build a strong Islamic identity from an early age.
These lessons become the foundation upon which future learning of the Qur'an, Salah, and Islamic manners is built.
