Ramadan is a month of returning to Allah, repenting from sins, and building strong habits of worship. However, the real test begins after Ramadan ends. The important question is: can we continue the same spirit of devotion once the month is over?
The book Ramadan ke Fazail o Masail highlights that the purpose of Ramadan is not limited to one month of worship. Instead, it is meant to develop a lifelong habit of righteousness and Taqwa.
During Ramadan, we increase our prayers, Qur’an recitation, and supplications. Unfortunately, once Ramadan ends, many people become less consistent in these acts of worship.
Try to maintain the following habits:
Perform the five daily prayers regularly
Continue reciting the Qur’an daily
Keep remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and supplication as part of your routine
Even if the intensity of Ramadan cannot be maintained, the connection with worship should never stop.
Ramadan teaches us that change is possible. If we can avoid sins and increase worship for one month, we can continue doing so for the rest of the year.
Let us make a sincere commitment that:
We will continue the good habits we developed in Ramadan
We will strive to strengthen our faith every day
We will prepare ourselves to welcome the next Ramadan with an even stronger connection to Allah
Ramadan may end, but Allah’s mercy never ends.
The real success of Ramadan is when its impact continues throughout our lives.
