حضرت امیرالمؤمنین علیؑ کی امام حسنؑ کے نام وصیت
ایک جامع اخلاقی و روحانی منشور
حضرت امام حسن بن علی علیہما السلام فرماتے ہیں:
جب میرے والدِ گرامی، امیرالمؤمنین حضرت علی بن ابی طالب علیہ السلام کی شہادت کا وقت قریب آیا تو آپ نے میری طرف متوجہ ہو کر فرمایا:
یہ علی ابن ابی طالب کی وصیت ہے، جو محمد رسول اللہ ﷺ کے بھائی، داماد اور ساتھی ہیں۔
توحید و رسالت کی گواہی
میری پہلی وصیت یہ ہے کہ میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ وحدہ لا شریک کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، اور حضرت محمد ﷺ اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں، جنہیں اللہ نے اپنے علم کا امین بنایا اور تمام خیر کے لیے منتخب فرمایا۔
اللہ تعالیٰ مردوں کو قبروں سے اٹھانے والا ہے، اعمال کا حساب لینے والا ہے اور دلوں کے بھید جاننے والا ہے۔
اے میرے فرزند حسن!
میں تمہیں وہی وصیت کرتا ہوں جو رسولِ خدا ﷺ نے مجھے فرمائی تھی، اور وہی وصیت تمہارے لیے کافی ہے۔
صبر، گوشہ نشینی اور امت کی اصلاح
اے میرے فرزند!
جب تم پر وہ حالات آئیں جو رسولِ خدا ﷺ کے بعد مجھ پر آئے تھے تو گوشہ نشینی اختیار کرنا اور امت کی خطاؤں و لغزشوں پر رنج و غم کا اظہار کرنا۔
اس کا مقصد ذاتی غم نہیں بلکہ امت کی اصلاح، آخرت کی یاد اور دنیا کی محبت سے نجات ہے۔
عبادات اور معاشرتی ذمہ داریاں
میں تمہیں وصیت کرتا ہوں کہ:
- نماز کو اول وقت پر ادا کرنا
- زکوٰۃ کو اس کے مستحقین تک پہنچانا
- شبہ کے وقت خاموشی اور میانہ روی اختیار کرنا
- خوشی اور غصے دونوں حالتوں میں عدل کا دامن ہاتھ سے نہ چھوڑنا
- اچھی ہمسائیگی، مہمان نوازی اور بیماروں پر رحم کرنا
- مصیبت زدہ افراد کی دلجوئی کرنا
- صلۂ رحمی، مساکین سے محبت اور ان کے ساتھ تواضع اختیار کرنا
کیونکہ یہی افضل عبادت ہے
دنیا، موت اور نفس کی تربیت
اے میرے فرزند!
- خواہشات کو محدود رکھو
- موت کو ہمیشہ یاد رکھو
- دنیا میں زہد و تقویٰ اختیار کرو
کیونکہ تم موت کے قیدی ہو، مصیبتوں کا نشانہ ہو اور بیماری تمہیں جدا کر دے گی۔
اپنے ظاہر و باطن میں اللہ سے ڈرتے رہنا،
کاموں میں جلد بازی سے پرہیز کرنا،
آخرت کے کاموں میں جلدی اور دنیاوی معاملات میں غور و فکر سے کام لینا۔
اخلاقی و سماجی ہدایات
- تہمت کے مقامات سے خود کو دور رکھو
- بدگمانی والی مجالس سے اجتناب کرو
- نیکی کا حکم دو اور برائی سے روکو
- نیک لوگوں کی صحبت اختیار کرو
- فاسق سے دینی دوری رکھو
- جھگڑوں اور لاحاصل بحث سے بچو
- عبادت اور معیشت میں میانہ روی اختیار کرو
- خاموشی کو لازم پکڑو تاکہ محفوظ رہو
ذکرِ خدا، روزہ اور دعا
- ہر حال میں اللہ کو یاد رکھو
- روزے کو لازم کرو، کیونکہ روزہ بدن کی زکوٰۃ اور جہنم سے ڈھال ہے
- دعا کو زیادہ کرو
- ذکرِ خدا کی مجالس میں شرکت کرو
- اپنے نفس سے جہاد کرو اور دشمن سے ہوشیار رہو
اہلِ بیتؑ کے بارے میں خصوصی وصیت
اے میرے فرزند!
میں تمہیں تمہارے بھائی محمد بن حنفیہ کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک کی وصیت کرتا ہوں،
اور حسینؑ کے بارے میں سخت وصیت کی ضرورت نہیں، کیونکہ وہ تمہارا حقیقی بھائی اور دل کا ٹکڑا ہے۔
اللہ تم سب کا محافظ ہو،
میں اللہ سے تمہاری اصلاح، بغاوت سے حفاظت اور تمہارے لیے خیر و صبر کی دعا کرتا ہوں۔
وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

The Will of Imam Ali (AS) to Imam Hasan (AS)
A Timeless Charter of Faith, Ethics, and Leadership
Imam Hasan ibn Ali (peace be upon them both) narrates:
When the time of martyrdom of my father, Amir al-Mu’minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS), drew near, he turned toward me and said:
This is the will of Ali ibn Abi Talib the brother of Muhammad, the Messenger of God ﷺ, his son-in-law, and his companion.

Testimony of Faith
My very first counsel is this:
I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the One without partner, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His servant and chosen Messenger, whom Allah entrusted with His knowledge and selected for all goodness.
Indeed, Allah will resurrect the dead from their graves, question people about their deeds, and is fully aware of what lies within their hearts.
O my son Hasan!
I advise you with the same counsel that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ advised me and that counsel is sufficient for you.
Patience, Withdrawal, and Concern for the Ummah
O my son!
When you face circumstances similar to those I faced after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then adopt seclusion, and grieve over the errors and deviations of the Ummah.
This grief does not imply personal failure or sin for the Ahl al-Bayt are infallible rather, it reflects sorrow over the state of the community, a lesson for reflection, and a reminder that this world must never become your ultimate goal or desire.

Worship and Social Responsibility
O my son! I advise you to:
- Establish prayer at its earliest time
- Pay Zakat and deliver it to those entitled to it
- Remain silent and balanced in times of doubt
- Uphold justice in both hardship and anger
- Maintain good relations with neighbors
- Honor and respect guests
- Show mercy to the sick and those afflicted by hardship
- Maintain family ties
- Love the poor and needy, sit in their gatherings, and humble yourself before them
For this is among the most virtuous acts of worship
Detachment from the World and Awareness of Death
O my son!
- Shorten your hopes and desires
- Remember death often
- Adopt piety and detachment from the world
For you are held captive by death, targeted by trials, and separated by illness.
Fear Allah in both your public and private affairs.
Avoid haste in action.
- Be swift in matters related to the Hereafter, goodness, and righteousness
- Be patient and deliberate in worldly matters until you clearly know what is best and most beneficial for you
Protect yourself from places of accusation and suspicion, and avoid gatherings that lead to ill-thinking, for bad company corrupts even a good person.
Moral and Ethical Conduct
O my son!
- Act purely for the sake of Allah
- Enjoin good and forbid evil
- Maintain brotherhood for the sake of Allah
- Keep the company of the righteous because of their righteousness
- Distance yourself from the immoral in matters of faith
- Detest sin within your heart and nullify its effects through your conduct, lest you become like them
- Avoid sitting in roadways and public disputes
- Leave argumentation and overlook the ignorant
- Maintain moderation in livelihood and worship
Bind yourself only to acts of worship you can perform consistently.
Adopt silence, for in it lies safety.
Send forth deeds that will benefit you in the Hereafter.
Learn goodness and teach it.
Remember Allah in all circumstances.
Fasting, Supplication, and Spiritual Struggle
Show mercy to the young of your family and respect your elders.
Do not eat food until you have given its due charity meaning, begin with the name of Allah (Bismillah).
Make fasting a regular practice, for fasting is the purification of the body and a shield against the fire of Hell.
Strive against your own soul.
Be cautious of companions and do not place absolute trust in them.
Remain vigilant of your enemies.
Attend gatherings where Allah is remembered, and increase in supplication.
Final Counsel and Family Advice
O my son!
I have not fallen short in advising you, and now the moment of separation between you and me has arrived.
I counsel you to treat your brother Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah with goodness, for he is your brother and the son of your father, and you know the love I hold for him.
As for Husayn, your brother from the same mother, I do not need to stress my counsel for his place in your heart is known.
May Allah be your Guardian and Protector.
I ask Allah to grant you righteousness, protect you from rebellion and tyranny, and bestow upon you patience until His decree is fulfilled.
There is no power and no strength except through Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
