سقراط اور جنت و جہنم کی داستان لاعلمی سے نجات کا سبق
پادری نے اعلان کیا کہ جس نے جنت خریدنی ہے وہ ہم سے رابطہ کرسکتا ہے اور جاہل لوگ جنت حاصل کرنے کے لیے بڑی سے بڑی رقم ادا کرنا شروع ہو گئے۔
ایسے میں ایک عقلمند شخص نے جہالت کا شکار ان لوگوں کو اس احمقانہ کام سے روکنے کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کی لیکن سب بے سود۔ آخر ایک دن اس کے ذہن میں ایک ترکیب آئی۔
وہ گرجا گھر گیا اور جنت بیچنے کے انچارج پادری سے کہا: "مجھے جہنم خریدنی ہے، کیا قیمت ہے؟"
پادری حیران ہوا اور پوچھا: "جہنم؟" اس شخص نے کہا: "ہاں، جہنم"
پادری خوش ہوا کہ اب جہنم بیچ کر بھی کمائی کر سکوں گا، لہٰذا سوچے بغیر کہا: "تین سکے"
اس آدمی نے فوراً رقم ادا کی اور کہا: "جہنم کی دستاویز دے دو"
پادری نے کاغذ پر لکھ دیا: "جہنم کی دستاویز"
وہ شخص خوشی خوشی دستاویز اٹھا کر چرچ سے نکل آیا اور شہر کے مرکزی چوک پر کھڑا ہو کر اعلان کیا: "میں نے جہنم خرید لی ہے، یہ اس کی دستاویز ہے۔ اب میں کسی کو بھی جہنم میں داخل نہیں ہونے دوں گا، لہٰذا تمہیں جنت خریدنے کی ضرورت نہیں!"
یہ شخص تھا "سقراط" جس نے اپنے اس اقدام سے لوگوں کو لاعلمی کی وجہ سے کی جانے والی حماقت سے نجات دلائی۔
"جو لوگ تحقیق نہیں کرتے، وہ آسانی سے پروپیگنڈے کا شکار ہو جاتے ہیں"

Socrates and Lesson Against Ignorance
The priest announced that whoever wanted to buy Paradise could contact him, and ignorant people started paying large sums of money to obtain it.
A wise man tried his best to stop these people from such foolishness, but all efforts were in vain. Finally, one day, an idea came to his mind.
He went to the church and said to the priest in charge of selling Paradise: "I want to buy Hell. What is the price?"
The priest was surprised and asked: "Hell?" The man replied: "Yes, Hell."
The priest became happy, thinking he could now earn money by selling Hell too. Without hesitation, he said: "Three coins."
The man quickly paid the amount and said: "Give me the document of Hell."
The priest wrote on a piece of paper: "Document of Hell"
The man happily took the document, left the church, and stood in the town square announcing: "I have bought Hell, here is its document. I will not let anyone enter it, so you no longer need to buy Paradise!"
That man was "Socrates", who with this act saved people from the foolishness caused by their ignorance.
"Those who do not question and research become easy victims of propaganda."
